Introducing Wellocity: A New Rx API Integration
Walgreens would like to announce that Wellocity has integrated our Prescription Refill API within it's new Wellocity app for iPhone. With this release, customers will now be able to refill prescriptions to their local Walgreens.
Wellocity provides patient engagement apps that enable patient participation in their own health care. These apps empower patients and caregivers with the knowledge and tools they can easily use for medication management, improving adherence, monitoring side effects and prescription refills.
According to Sameer Kanagala, CEO for Wellocity, "For our users the ability to refill prescriptions within their Wellocity app is a key part of managing medications and improving adherence. Integrating with Walgreens enables our users to effortlessly refill prescriptions through a leading pharmacy they trust and pick up the refills from a convenient location."
